South East LEP submission to the APPG inquiry into local skills

pdfAPPG Inquiry on Local Skills - SELEP response FINAL.pdf

The South East LEP has submitted evidence to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Local Growth, Local Enterprise Partnerships and Enterprise Zones as part of its inquiry into local skills.

In its submission SELEP says that the current model is too complex and uncoordinated meaning some employers simply do not engage with it. It calls for LEPs and their partners to have the funding to make skills provision more responsive to the needs of their local communities and businesses rather than working within a national one size fits all approach.
