The project will deliver low cost creative workspace through the redevelopment of a former food production facility located on the Beeching Road industrial estate in Bexhill. The site was used by Premier Foods until 2004 when it closed with the loss of 250 local jobs. The building has remained largely unused since and currently sits empty with little prospect of being let. The project will use the footprint and shell of the existing building, focussing redevelopment on the interior, roof and access points. This will ultimately lead to the creation of six light industrial units specifically for the purpose of attracting new creative industries in to the town.

In total the SELEP Growth Deal with Government has brought £579m of investment to East Sussex, Essex, Kent, Medway, Southend and Thurrock. Over the lifetime of the Growth Deal (2015-2021) we aim to deliver 78,000 jobs and 29,000 homes across the SELEP area, with the Deal set to attract a further £960m of investment into the South East over the six year period.
