The deadline for applications for a £5,000 Food Innovation Network grant is 31st January 2018.
In late November 2017 Defra launched a £50K voucher scheme to provide £5K funding (with £5k matching support from technical service providers like Campden BRI, RSSL, IP lawyers etc.) to food and drink SMEs to help them innovate.
£50,000 funding to help SMEs innovate
Small food and drink companies have the chance to win a share of £50,000 funding in the first competition aimed at pushing the boundaries in food business innovation to kick-start the next generation of food production.
Food Innovation Network (FIN)
The voucher scheme was launched by Defra, through its Food Innovation Network (FIN), which connects food and drink producers with world-class facilities such as test-kitchens, laboratories and the expertise to help them create new and innovative products and production methods.
