SELEP Skills Legacy
We had 3 groups as part of the SELEP Skills Strategy:
The Skills Advisory Panel (SAP) – an employer-led local partnership, established in October 2019 to strengthen the link between public and private sector employers, local authorities, colleges and universities and to pool knowledge on skills and labour market needs.
The Skills Working Group – provided a strategic, joined up, holistic LEP view on skills issues and where possible delivered solutions which may include funding opportunities, new projects and inputs to government such as apprenticeship reforms and area reviews.
The Digital Skills Partnership – the government is worked with Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and Combined Authorities (CAs) to help establish Local Digital Skills Partnerships (Local DSPs) across the country to tackle local digital skills challenges and build thriving and inclusive local economies.

Become a Lecturer
The Become a Lecturer campaign was part of the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) funded Teaching for Growth project. This has included bursaries to help pay for teacher training qualifications for new lecturers entering further education (FE) from industry, and marketing activities to promote access to teaching careers with colleges and independent training providers.
