The proposed scheme is located at the lower end of the High Street in Tonbridge town centre. It predominantly consists of the widening of existing footways and narrowing of the existing carriageway through the lower High Street of Tonbridge, between the Big Bridge to the north and the rail station to the south. The proposed scheme aims to provide a more attractive environment for pedestrians by creating more space for pedestrian movement, providing street furniture and opportunities for public events.
