The Project will deliver 28 new incubator units on a currently redundant site which was identified for industrial development in the Hastings Local Plan, which was adopted in 2015. The site is ideally located on a well-established industrial estate. The industrial estate is within easy reach of the two major trunk roads (A259 and A21) providing ideal access for business employees and visitors, has on-site parking and nestles alongside and close to potential supply chain contacts. The 28 new incubator units will range from 322 sqft to 344 sqft in size, with a total area of 9,558 sqft. The LGF funding will be used towards the development and building costs of the incubator units.

In total the SELEP Growth Deal with Government has brought £579m of investment to East Sussex, Essex, Kent, Medway, Southend and Thurrock. Over the lifetime of the Growth Deal (2015-2021) we aim to deliver 78,000 jobs and 29,000 homes across the SELEP area, with the Deal set to attract a further £960m of investment into the South East over the six year period.
