Three LEPs (Local Enterprise partnerships) are working together to create an Energy Strategy for the South East. The South2East Energy Strategy is being created by the South East LEP, Coast to Capital and Enterprise M3 LEP.
The South2East Energy strategy will:
- recognise the fundamental importance of the UK’s energy ‘trilemma’, finding clean, affordable, sustainable energy provision for economic growth
- provide a clear analysis of the energy opportunities and challenges across the Tri- LEP area, for power, heat and transport
- respond to national trajectory of decarbonisation and clean growth
- estimate the demand on energy and carbon emissions over time
- consider energy and low carbon priorities for the South East
- consider future funding options to deliver low carbon energy projects
- present conclusions and recommendations to central government
Local workshops
Join our stakeholder engagement workshops designed to share information about the development of the Energy Strategy and capture your inputs as we consider the strategy development.
The workshop will include:
- welcome and introduction to the EnergySouth2East project
- national and local policy context by LEP representative
- potential project interventions to decarbonise and achieve clean growth
- how you can support and influence the strategy and action plan
- group discussions
Please note:
- we are holding four identical workshops across the South East with the aim of reaching people across the region
- if the workshop is oversubscribed we will limit places per organisation
