Project update
This project was considered by Accountability Board on 15th February 2019 and the decision was made to remove the project from the LGF Programme. The budget for this project initially consisted of a £2.173m LGF allocation and a contribution of £2.173m from Essex County Council. Essex County Council have now indicated that their stated contribution is no longer available and, as a result, the project is no longer deliverable in its entirety. A number of options were considered for progressing the project, including reducing the scope. However, it was concluded that part delivery of the project would not deliver sufficient benefit and that the project should either be delivered in its entirety, or not at all. This has resulted in the removal of the project from the LGF Programme, however, Essex County Council will revisit the scheme should sufficient funding be identified to deliver the project in full. The £2.173m of LGF funding which was allocated to the project will be reallocated to LGF3b pipeline projects.
